Eastmont Wildcats defeat Mead Panthers 28-19 in Washington high school football game

Union Stadium - Eastmont High School running back Gunnar Peterson racked up 147 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to help the Eastmont Wildcats to a 28-19 win over the Mead Panthers on Friday night at Union Stadium in a high school football game.

The Wildcats also received major efforts from quarterback Luke Gale who completed 6 passes for 96 yards and running back Landon Moore who rushed 5 times for 34 yards.

Mead's quarterback Ryker Hurd threw for 159 yards, quarterback Jaeland Leman picked up 35 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and wide receiver Max Workman had 70 receiving yards.

The win helps Eastmont improve to 1-0 on the season while Mead falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Eastmont travels to Lacey, WA to take on the Timberline Blazers on Saturday September 9. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Mead will challenge the University Titans at home on Thursday September 7. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
