Holmen Vikings defeat Onalaska Hilltoppers 34-20 in WI high school football game

Holmen - Holmen High School running back Jack Barth had 149 rushing yards to lead the Holmen Vikings to a 34-20 win over the Onalaska Hilltoppers on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Vikings also received crucial efforts from quarterback Alex Berget who rushed 20 times for 117 yards and 1 touchdown and running back John Faherty who rushed 2 times for 70 yards and 1 touchdown.

Onalaska's quarterback lan Kowal threw for 183 yards and 1 touchdown, running back Cameron Cornett picked up 133 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns and wide receiver Pierce Sommerfield had 84 receiving yards.

The win helps Holmen improve to 2-1 on the season while Onalaska falls to 1-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Holmen travels to Baraboo, WI to face off against the Baraboo Thunderbirds on Friday September 13. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Onalaska will take on the La Crosse Central Red Raiders at home on Friday September 13. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
