Milwaukee Brewers catcher Martin Maldonado ended Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks with a walk-off home run in the 17th inning. He tied a record for the latest walk-off home run in franchise history.
Prior to Maldonado's home run, the Brewers had not scored since the sixth inning. Arizona last scored in the eighth, when Mark Trumbo tied the game with a solo homer.
Maldonado was 4-for-6 on the day with two RBIs and two walks. He now has three home runs this season.
Vidal Nuno, who had pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings, was the losing pitcher. Matt Garza threw five scoreless innings in relief and got the win.
