Kansas City Royals announce roster for World Series vs. Mets
The Kansas City Royals announced their roster for the 2015 World Series against the New York Mets, which is set to begin on Tuesday night.
The most notable addition to the Royals roster is prospect Raul Mondesi, a 20-year-old infielder who could become the first player to make his Major League debut at the World Series.
The Royals return to the World Series just one year after losing to the San Francisco Giants in seven games. The Royals last won the World Series in 1985.
The Mets are making their first appearance in the World Series since losing in five games to the New York Yankees in 2000. Their last World Series victory came in 1986 against the Boston Red Sox.
