The Los Angeles Angels still need to make one more major move to improve the starting rotation.

Los Angeles clearly knows this and has been linked to a handful of hurlers as possible options. The player who has popped up the most in recent weeks is two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell.

The superstar somehow still is available despite an impressive season that saw him lead the National League with an impressive 2.25 ERA. Snell would be the perfect addition for the Angels, but they reportedly may have more competition for his services now, according to USA Today Sports' Bob Nightengale.

"Four new teams have reached out to Scott Boras about Blake Snell and Jordan Montgomery since the start of spring training, Boras says," Nightengale posted.

Snell has been linked to the Angels but it's been reported recently that he may be open to a short-term deal. This clearly has had an impact as more clubs seemingly have joined his sweepstakes.

Los Angeles lost a top-of-the-rotation starter in Shohei Ohtani and hasn't filled his spot yet. Landing Snell would be a great place to start and at least help improve the rotation.

No single player can make up for Ohtani's production. But, this doesn't mean the Angels can't be solid in 2024. Los Angeles has plenty of money to spend and signing Snell would be a great place to start.

There also are options available who could help fill the club's designated hitter spot. J.D. Martinez likely is the best option available but there are a few others as well.

Los Angeles needs to continue to add to boost the rotation and it sounds like it will need to act fast.
