The Los Angeles Angels are in the midst of their best stretch of the season and they have been able to take two straight games from the best team in the AL West, the Texas Rangers. A number of players within the lineup have been contributing and even with Mike Trout taking a day off, they were unfazed.

In both of their wins, they were able to come back despite going down early and have continued to display nothing but heart. Shohei Ohtani is playing at an MVP level, Zach Neto has been placing himself among some of the best rookies in the league, and their bullpen has been stepping up in the late innings.

However, LA has a very good problem on their hands where they have numerous talented outfielders on their hand. This is something that Mickey Moniak was talking about last week where he believes there are no weaknesses in that position.

But Taylor Ward had to be inserted into the first base position when Brandon Drury was ejected in Monday's win and he made quite the big play!

Therefore, Angels fans have been thinking that team manager Phil Nevin could be able to round out his lineup a little more if Ward sees more time at the first base spot but he is not too hot on it.

“No,” Nevin said. “Taylor’s an outfielder. He feels comfortable in the outfield. I think we’ve got four really good outfielders who could all be starting for somebody. It’s a good luxury to have.”

Ward has finally started to see some success at the plate again and his IQ in the outfield is among his top strengths! Let's see how he follows up on this news.
