Angels News: Anthony Rendon Doesn’t Know Why Halos Hid Injury From Public
After disclosing to reporters that his injury was actually more serious than initially reported, one Angel currently on the shelf is pointing fingers at the organization for their part in the narrative surrounding him.
Currently on the shelf with what's now known as a leg fracture, Anthony Rendon is confused as to why his condition was never updated by the Halos.
Seemingly tired of the criticism from media and fans alike, Rendon broke his silence about his injury likely in an effort to shape his own narrative with more facts and information than we've been given in the past few months.
Labeled as an injury prone player, lazy and unprofessional through numerous oddities in his media interactions since July, Rendon's attitude has seemingly shifted to one of honesty.
Determining just a few weeks ago that his bone wasn't bruised, but actually broke, Rendon may actually have some merit to his absence rather than the unprofessional attitude that the media portrayed him as having.
Now all eyes are certainly on the Angels' organization as such a seemingly simple thing to disclose could have saved a lot of wasted time and energy on dealing with even more questions for the most expensive contract on their roster.
It's not as if the Halos haven't dealt with multiple injuries this season either as they've been as affected by various ailments seemingly more than any other ballclub in MLB this season.
Painting Rendon in such a negative light when there was clear reason why he couldn't return to the lineup on expected time is a glaring issue and a pressing concern for everyone in the organization.
In what can only be described as a season from hell on all fronts, the Angels find a way to dig even deeper past rock bottom once more.
