In this story:

I think it's pretty safe to say that Anthony Rendon has his days where he enjoys speaking to the media and then there are the other days, where they're lucky to even get one word out of him. He's been rolling with the latter behavior as of late as he is solely focused on recovering from yet another injury, this time to his wrist.

The Los Angeles Angels sit at 44-39 on the year and are preparing to enter a new series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. All-Star break is right around the corner along with the trade deadline and LA already got active in the trade market due to Gio Urshela and Zach Neto both hitting the IL the same time as Rendon.

Team manager Phil Nevin has been providing positive updates on his star infielder's rehab process and hopes to have him back soon but does not want to rush him either. That was the whole thinking behind them trading for veteran infielders Eduardo Escobar and Mike Moustakas. The Athletic's Sam Blum tried to get a direct update from Rendon himself on the state of his wrist and let's just say... he replied with a very obvious answer.

"Asked Anthony Rendon how his wrist was. “I have two,” he said, holding them up as he walked out of the clubhouse."

Like I said, Rendon just gives these types of answers from time to time but he also has a track record of remaining quiet on his recoveries when they are going well. He's been on the field with his teammates lately doing more and more drills so we hope to see him fully back in the lineup very soon!
