The injury bug for the Angels keeps on coming back for some more, notably at the catcher's position. Angels catcher Chad Wallach will be heading to the 7-day injured list after suffering a concussion.

Angels manager Phil Nevin said the 31-year-old catcher woke up with a stiff neck on Sunday and was ultimately placed on the IL. Nevin spoke to the media and said he wanted to be safe than sorry regarding Chad.

“We want to get ahead of it and take care of him,” Nevin said after Tuesday’s game.

Wallach started the seven-day IL on Sunday and will be eligible to return this upcoming Sunday against the Cleveland Guardians.

The injury bug for the catcher's position this season has been an insane one. Their most significant loss came when rookie catcher Logan O'Hoppe suffered a torn labrum and will be out for 4-6 months after an incredible start to the season.

Their other catcher, currently fourth on the depth chart according to ESPN, Max Stassi, has missed the entire 2023 season dealing with a family issue and is listed on the 10-day IL. We're unsure when he will return to the team.

Things haven't looked too bright for the Halos in that department, but hopefully, all that is behind them now. Hopefully, Wallach's concussion isn't too severe.
