Angels News: Fans Reveal Their Favorite Current Player on the Halos
The Los Angeles Angels enter the 2023 season with two of baseball's best players. Between Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani, it feels like an All-Star Game every time the Halos get out and play.
Angels fans are very blessed to be able to watch two of baseball's greatest talents every single night, but a fun question that I'm sure fans always wonder is, who is the fan favorite on the team?
Luckily, Sam Blum of The Athletic ran a very informative poll over on their site, that got nearly 2,000 fan responses. I highly recommend you check out the full article, which can be found here. There's a lot of great stuff on all things Angels, and it gives a good sense of where Angels fans stand on pretty much every important topic surrounding the team.
In this article, however, we're going to focus on one specific question he asked regarding who the fan favorite of the team was.
"Who is your favorite current Angels players?" Blum asked.
A whopping 49.0 percent of the responses picked Trout, while Ohtani came in second at 37.0 percent. After those two, the next highest player was David Fletcher (a bit of a surprise) with 4.8 percent of the vote. Then it was Patrick Sandoval, Taylor Ward and Jared Walsh, who each got a little over 1.0 percent of the vote.
Anthony Rendon, someone the Angels are paying a lot of money to, got just 0.7 percent of the vote. And Jo Adell, the former first-round pick, got 0.2 percent of the vote.
It'll be interesting to see how those numbers change, especially if Ohtani decides to leave in free agency. But for now, Angels fans remain loyal to the guy that's been loyal to them for his entire career.
