In 2017, the Los Angeles Angels selected OF Jo Adell as the No. 10 pick overall in the Draft.

The outfielder debuted with the team in 2020, and made the most of his short season. Although he only posted a .161 AVG in his first season in the Show, he was able to significantly progress the following year.

During the 2021 season, he slashed .246/.295/.408 and lowered his strikeout count from 55 to 32.

After that season, The Athletic surveyed fans and 50.1 percent of respondents liked the idea of him becoming an everyday outfielder for the 2022 season.

But after the way the previous season played out, that percentage dramatically decreased.

Heading into the 2023 season, Sam Blum of The Athletic ran a similar survey that got nearly 2,000 responses from Angels fans. He asked them about all things Angels, and we highly recommend you go and check out the full article, which you can read here.

For the purpose of this story, however, we're going to talk about Blum's question regarding Adell. He asked fans how confident they were in Adell's abilities to be "an everyday player at some point in 2023."

Here is a snapshot of the results from this year's survey:

During last year's campaign, the former first-round draft pick struck out 107 times in 88 games and finished the season with a .224 AVG.

One fan even shared that this might be Adell's last shot at playing for the Halos before it's time for him to move on and find a new home.

With superstars like Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout in the same lineup, the 23-year-old will need to step up his game if he hopes to stay a part of the club.

This past winter, the Angels brought in a good amount of talent in Tyler Anderson, Gio Urshela, Hunter Renfroe and Carlos Estevez as well as developing their minor league system. The addition of Brett Phillips also all but ended Adell's chances of making the Opening Day roster.

However, so far, his time in Spring Training has been off to a good start, as he knocked in the team's first runs of the year with a two-run homer on Saturday.

If he can continue to play like that, he may just be able make an impact on this roster sooner rather than later.
