The Los Angeles Angels lost their rookie catcher Logan O'Hoppe last week to a torn labrum. The 23-year-old will miss four to six months, which could last the entire season.

O'Hoppe is now recovering, as he had successful surgery on that torn labrum on Tuesday. According to Angels insider Sarah Valenzuela, Logan was back with the team in the clubhouse, watching his squad take on the Oakland A's at Angel Stadium.

The young catcher will be in a sling for the next three weeks and is expected to recover from his injury.

O'Hoppe was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in 2018 before getting traded to the Halos in 2022 for outfielder Brandon Marsh. The rookie came in with virtually no expectations this season and quickly impressed the organization and its fans.

He instantly became a fan favorite and is now deeply missed in the lineup. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope we see him back this season, if possible.
