Angels News: Logan O’Hoppe, Zach Neto Building Great Relationship as Future of Halos

They are building some nice young players in Anaheim!

Once the MLB season finally comes to a close for the Los Angeles Angels, they will be left with the reality that their roster may look very different next season. They have multiple key players as free agents, and it remains to be seen who will return.

It has been a tough year all around for the Halos, but not all is lost on it. They have seen some nice play from some of their younger players, who figure to be in the long-term plans going forward.

Both shortstop Zach Neto and catcher Logan O’Hoppe have shown major growth this season, and their emergence has allowed the Angels to plan for the future. They both should be around for the foreseeable future, and they have already started to build a nice connection with one another.

“He’s the man,” O’Hoppe said of Neto. “I love sharing a locker room with that guy, hanging out with him off the field. I’m really hoping to be playing with him for quite a while. It’s pretty impressive what he’s doing. He wants to win. And I love that about him.”

The wins haven't come very often lately for the Angels, but the two aren't letting that get them down. They want to do what they can to help this team, and they both know that getting these extra reps right now will benefit them in the future.

Both players have dealt with injuries throughout the season, but the Angels have been much better when they've been in the lineup. They bring a sense of hope to the organization, and it's something that they haven't seen in quite some time. 

As the year comes to a close soon, the emergence of both players has been great to see. The Angels can use this season to build off their success, and actually start to build themselves back toward being a contender in the league.
