Unsettling news out of San Diego on Monday night as superstar center fielder Mike Trout was forced to exit the game with an apparent injury. The issue appears to be either his left hand or wrist. Manager Phil Nevin came out with a trainer and Trout walked off the field shortly after.

The Halos have battled the injury bug all season long and can't stand to be without Trout for any stretch of time. Even though it's been a somewhat down year by Mike's standards, he's still posting a fine .859 OPS with 18 home runs in 80 games.

Trout was just named to his 11th AL All Star team.

More to come on this story.

UPDATE

Mike Trout will be out until August with a broken bone in his left wrist.
