The Angels' two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani is having an incredible start. I know, shocker, right? I know I'm stating the obvious, but this is by far the best start of his career. His numbers are video-game-like, and it's almost unfair when he's in the box or on the mound.

However, for this one, we will focus on his pitching. Ohtani on the hill is unfair thus far. His 0.64 ERA is leading the league, and his streak of three or fewer hits continues to live on. Shohei's stuff on the mound is filthy, and what's crazy about it is he gets better when he goes deeper into the game, especially when he's facing the batting order for the third time.

MLB analysts were supposed to break down his success as he gets deeper in the game, but instead, they are just like us baseball fans, in awe of his dominance and durability.

Usually the opponents get a better sense of the pitcher they're facing as the game goes and the batter's catch on to what the pitchers is doing, but not with Ohtani. The numbers are there, he's allowed zero hits against 24 batters, struck-out 15 batters and only has walked two, and is allowing an average of .077.

He's hitting everyday and for him to get on the mound every fifth day and deliver will never not be astonishing.

This is why he is the best player in the game and a top three batter and pitcher, at worst. It's not ridiculous to think the 28-year-old could get his second MVP and first Cy Young award in the same season. It's very well in reach and if he continues it, the race won't be close.
