The Los Angeles Angels are on a roll right now. We were all wondering when or if they would slow down, and the Texas Rangers answered that on Wednesday night. The Halos dropped their 32nd game of the season, and they were in it up until the seventh and eighth innings.

Still, the Halos have the opportunity to take the series outright on Thursday with shohei Ohtani on the mound. Losess hapen and Angels skipper Phil Nevin isn't worried about the loss and said it was a learning experince.

“This was a night where ‘Hey, this is gonna have to be a learning experience,’” Manager Phil Nevin said. “You’re gonna get through it.”

It's a long season, you shouldn't get too high on one win and too low on a loss. However, the Halos had a chance to take three in a row from their division rivals but ened up losing it by allowing three runs in the seventh inning. Halos starter Reid Detmers was on the hill for the Halos and although he only allowed three hits and one earned run, he got caught in a tough situation in the sixth inninng. Nevin believes thaat's where the game got away from his team even though Detmers got out of the jam.

“That inning was his until it got out of hand,” Nevin said. “I just had to let him go. I thought it was gutsy, really gutsy. He certainly pitched well enough to win.”

One loss, no big deal even if it is against your division rivals. The Angels will now set their focus on tonight with their ace on the mound.
