Angels News: Shohei Ohtani Goes Viral with Home Run Celebration Dance
Shohei Ohtani has been able to continue his dominance in his sixth season with the Los Angeles Angels and are we really surprised at this point? His mindset was clear heading into the year after leading Team Japan to the WBC Championship and continuing his balance of a superstar pitcher and slugger.
He refuses to comment on his upcoming free agency as he wants to remain focused on willing the Halos to the postseason for the first time since 2014 and even though some may argue that this is a distraction to the team because they don't know if this will be their last ride together, it also shows how much he respects the franchise and doesn't want his personal decisions to get in the way of their goals.
Through 60 games with the Angels this year, he is slashing .276/.352/.552 and has been able to connect on 16 homers so far. His excellence on the mound has also been clear and even though Ohtani has struggled a bit as of late, he has recorded a 3.80 ERA and a 1.014 ERA.
However, LA is still trying to make it back into the playoff race after a recent disappointing series against the Houston Astros. Ohtani's future definitely does ride on whether or not the Halos can remain competitive.
But nonetheless, Ohtani remains among the biggest superstar athletes in the world. Everything he does becomes a headline... even a recent picture of him eating a bag of Funyuns.
And the 28-year-old superstar is once again breaking the internet with his crazy home run celebration dance in the Angels' Tuesday comeback win over the Chicago Cubs.
Have a look for yourself!
