Almost every time Angels two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani takes the field, something incredible happens. It’s just become understood at this point in his career that he is a walking highlight machine and is truly a special player.

He seems to be getting better and better as the years go on and the crazy part is that he is still only 29-years old. Ohtani has a long career ahead of him and it’s hard to imagine just how good he can get.

His most recent accomplishment is that he became only the second player in Major League Baseball history to hit 32-plus home runs and have 11-plus stolen bases prior to the All-Star break. The only other player in history to do so was Ohtani himself back in 2021, which was his American League MVP year.

Ohtani is so good that he just breaks his own records. It's just one of the things that creates his greatness and allows him to be himself.

We really haven't seen a player like Ohtani with his ability to dominant in both the pitching and hitting categories since Babe Ruth. It's a big reason why Ohtani is scheduled to become the first ever player in baseball history to receive a contract for $500 million or more this coming offseason.

There really aren't words to describe him and his game leaves many speechless each day. And yet, despite the power of Ohtani, the Angels still find themselves under .500 at the break.

They have some time to try and turn things around otherwise they not only risk losing out on this season, but Ohtani could very well leave in the offseason. Many expect him to do just that but the Angels reaching the playoffs could give them some bump in the sweepstakes.

With the second half starting, it'll be interesting to see what the Angels do and where Ohtani's stats end up for this season.
