The Los Angeles Angels have been looking all over the league to find help within their starting rotation. The front office has wanted to upgrade the starters this offseason, and they have been swimming in the deep end of the free-agent pool.

The team has been linked to some of the best names available, including Blake Snell and Jordan Montgomery. Both pitchers will cost the Angels a pretty penny, but they could serve them well going forward.

The market is expected to heat up in the coming weeks, with both starters likely to sign soon. The Halos are directly in the thick of it all, and they are confident that they can make some real upgrades along the way.

MLB.com's Mark Feinsand is predicting that Snell will end up signing with the Angels. He also mentioned the San Francisco Giants, but it's been reported that the Halos have made Snell their priority this winter.

"Snell signs with the Angels … or Giants."

Per Mark Feinsand of MLB.com

Landing Snell would be a true game-changer for the Angels. He would give them a legitimate front-line starter, who the team could build around for years.

Despite him being over the age of 30, Snell has seemingly gotten better. He just won the National League Cy Young award this past season, and will be looking to continue his dominant ways.

Snell posted an ERA of 2.25 over 32 starts for the San Diego Padres last season, and he would bring an edge to this Angels staff. It remains to be seen if he will be out of the comfortable price range for the Halos.

Typically, owner Arte Moreno has been against handing out massive free-agent deals for pitchers, but Snell may be the exception. It's not every day that the reigning Cy Young winner is available, so the Angels may look to take advantage of that fact.
