Ron Washington Says Angels Owner Arte Moreno is 'Committed to Bring Back Good Baseball'
The Los Angeles Angels hiring of new manager Ron Washington has the team feeling great about themselves. He brings a certain energy to the table, and players tend to rally around that buzz he has.
It’s been generally seen as a positive hire for the team, and they couldn’t be more excited about him leading the charge. Washington spoke about the expectations for this team, and he doesn’t believe that there is a limit to what they can achieve.
"Once we get things together and we get these guys together in Spring Training and start our work, our whole focus is going to be on running the West down," Washington said. "And you can take that to the bank and deposit it."

He also spoke about Angels owner Arte Moreno and his commitment to putting a quality product on the field.
"I learned [Moreno] is committed to bringing back good baseball to the region, and I think that's what everybody here wants," Washington said. "Now we have to make his vision come to fruition. His vision is the same as my vision, and so we just have to hit the ground and make it happen."

Moreno has never been shy about shelling out money to free agents, but the majority of the time the players that he signs end up backfiring on him. It has happened time and time again, and the Angels haven’t seemed to get out of their own way.
The organization has been stuck in mediocrity for a long time now, and things aren’t going to change overnight. It will take time and consistent effort to make impactful improvements to this organization.
The hiring of Washington will help things, and he can bring some stability to this franchise. But he can’t do it all alone, and they are going to have to change the way they go about their business for anything to matter.
