Shohei Ohtani’s Interpreter Thanks Angels Fans on Social Media
With Shohei Ohtani leaving the Angels for the Los Angeles Dodgers, there has been a ton of mixed emotions coming from the Halos side. This is both from the organization itself and the fanbase.
Ohtani meant everything to the Angels, but he officially decided to move on this offseason. He thanked the team for everything in his announcement post and the beginning of his introductory press conference, but it still hurts Angel fans to see him with another team.
Ohtani's interpreter Ippei Mizuhara posted a thank you to the Angels fans on his social media, as well. He spent time around everyone, just as much as Ohtani, and it seems to have meant the world to him.
Angels fans
Cannot thank you guys enough for all the support for the last 6 years. Really really gonna miss you guys, and I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart..
It has been a great pleasure being part of the Angels family.
Wishing you all the best.
Thank you Angels fans!!!!!
Mizuhara will be missed by the Angels fans, as he had become a favorite of everyone. Being the interpreter for the best player on the team, Mizuhara saw it all.
This was a nice gesture by him, and one that will go over well with the fanbase. He was loved in Orange County during his time with the team.
Losing Ohtani has been a major blow to this Angels organization and fanbase, but the franchise did it to themselves. They weren't able to field any sort of competitive team, and Ohtani ultimately decided that their goals didn't align any longer.
The fanbase isn't happy that he signed with the Dodgers, but many understand the move. He will always mean something special to everyone with the Angels, and it'll be tough to watch him have success with L.A.
