The Boston Red Sox have reportedly acquired left fielder Tommy Pham from the Cincinnati Reds less than 24 hours before the trade deadline. The return is not yet known.

This trade comes on the heels of the Red Sox sending catcher Christian Vásquez to the Houston Astros.

Pham is hitting .238/.320/.374 this season and has added 11 home runs and 39 RBI. He also holds a .975 fielding percentage and has just committed four errors in 2022.

This deal boosts the Red Sox outfield even more, adding to the already solid players in Alex Verdugo and Jackie Bradley Jr.

The Reds should see a significant return for Pham, as the nine-year veteran was their best overall outfielder, statistically speaking, so far this season.

The Las Vegas native signed a one-year, $7.5 million deal with the Reds in March and will become a free agent at the end of the season.

Houston could see Pham very soon, as Boston starts a three-game series at Minute Maid Park tonight.
