The Atlanta Braves take Pier-Oliver Boucher/OF in the tenth round of the MLB Draft
Boucher went the JUCO route out of high school and went to Indian Hills Community College before transferring to Southern Illinois University where he earned 2023 All Missouri Valley Conference Second Team honors as he lead the Salukis in batting average (.335), hits (77), runs scored (46), slug % (.619), and stolen bases (19-22).
Boucher didn't face the best competition, but he excelled in the batter's box as he had a career batting average of .331 at SIU with 25 homers and 76 RBI. In two seasons with the Salukis, he only made six errors.
