Braves select Cade Kuehler with the 70th pick of the second round (Compensation)
Cade Kuehler was a huge reason why the Campbell Camels had a great season this year. He put up a stellar stat line as he cut his ERA down from 4.07 last year to 2.71 this year. You may say, "Well, he doesn't play against the best competition." That assumption may have a little merit, but his stuff is good enough to transfer over to be successful at the big league level.
Cade Kuehler MLB Draft Snapshot
Name: Cade Kuehler
Position: RHP
School: Campbell
Measurables: 6'0/215
Stats: 8-1, 2.71 ERA, 91 K's, 26 BB
Kuehler has some of the best fastball metrics in the Draft, generating outstanding spin rates and carry on a four-seamer that sits at 93-95 mph and peaks at 98, and he'll mix in some two-seamers as well. He possesses a second plus pitch in a mid-80s slider with depth that he can turn into a shorter, harder cutter. He also deploys a solid low-80s curveball, a traditional low-80s changeup with fade and a mid-80s splitter/changeup. - Top Baseball Draft Prospects | MLB.com
