The Atlanta Braves take RHP Riley Gowens in the ninth round of the MLB Draft
Deemed "A data darling" by MLB Network's Jim Callis. Big time fastball guy that works out of the stretch. Curveball is solid as well. He works out of the stretch a lot and will likely be a reliever at the next level. His ERA isn't the best in the world, but his strikeout-to-walk ratio is pretty nice. He struck out 75 hitters while only walking 16 in 60 innings of work.
