Grading A.J. Minter for the 2023 season

Pitching: B+

A.J. Minter had the reverse season of what Bryce Elder had. Before the All-Star Break, he was abysmal. He had a 3-5 record with a 4.91 ERA as he gave up 22 runs in 40.1 innings. Despite that, his strikeout number was up as he struck out 50 hitters and only walked 10.

In the second half of the season, Minter was much better. He had a 0-1 record with a 1.85 ERA. His innings count was down to 24.1 but he made the most of a lot of those innings. Minter struck out 32 hitters and walked 11. When the Braves needed him to clinch the No. 1 seed in October, Minter stepped up.

A.J. Minter's contract status

A.J. Minter is entering Year 4 of arbitration and he is estimated to make $6.3M in 2024, but we will see what the number ends up being after a hearing.
