Braves Briefing: What is Dansby Swanson doing?
The Atlanta Braves took a much-needed day off before they take on Kansas City, then San Diego for a nice six-game road stint.
Dansby Swanson is trying too hard
Former Brave, now Cubs infielder Dansby Swanson was asked about an electric moment involved in beating the Mariners in the 10th game of the season at Wrigley Field. He said, “I hadn’t really felt too many things like that in my career.”
Just a reminder, Swanson won a World Series with the Braves. Does an April win in Chicago really rise to the level of clinching a trip to the World Series at home, or winning the whole thing?
I get the pandering to a new fanbase, but the $177 million payday that he got to switch teams this offseason should be a sign that the Cubs already like you.
Weird.

Braves Today's Lindsay Crosby covered the latest in the Orlando Arcia injury when the news broke yesterday.
Starting shortstop Orlando Arcia has a "microfracture" in his left wrist after being hit by a Hunter Greene fastball on Wednesday night and will go on the injured list, the team announced today.
Arcia, 28, was taken out of Wednesday's night game in the 2nd inning after being hit by Reds starter Hunter Green. Initial x-rays at the ballpark were negative, the team announced during the game, but follow-up testing on Thursday's off-day showed the injury and Arcia will be sidelined for an indefinite period of time with the injury.
Here's the full report, including where we discuss the likelihood that Vaughn Grissom is the replacement for Arcia.
