Braves Briefing: Another Ronald Acuña Jr. stat that is ridiculous
You can't spell Ronald Acuña Jr. without "MVP". Actually, that's not true. But, every few days, it seems like someone throws out an Acuña Jr. stat showing how dominant his 2023 MLB season has been.
The latest is from the Fox Sports: MLB account. They listed the leaders across the MLB when looking at home runs and stolen bases. Acuña leads all of baseball by a pretty solid margin.
His 19 home runs and 35 stolen bases put him at 54 total in the stat shown in the graphic down below. This is 13 better than Oakland's Esteury Ruiz who is on this list thanks to his 40 stolen bases and a single home run.

We wrote it
I tackled Braves Today's coverage of the series finale 3-0 win and the sweep of the Minnesota Twins. I wrote about Kolby Allard's impressive day.
Allard was exceptional in his first start of the season. He struck out eight Twins batters in 4.2 innings before being pulled from the mound and being cheered by the fans in Truist Park.
It's been well-documented that Atlanta's arms have been battling injury and seeing Allard bring respectable heat to knock out four scoreless innings to help seal the sweep was a welcome surprise for the Atlanta Braves.
Also worth noting is his almost perfect first inning where he struck out all three batters in the first with 14 pitches. All three generated a swing-and-miss.
Here are the rest of the takeaways from the action.
