Braves Briefing: Is Atlanta finally firing on all cylinders?

It feels like this Braves team is finally getting contributions from everyone for the first time this season

Having beaten Washington 6-4 on Saturday in Truist Park, the Atlanta Braves are winners of seven straight and for the first time all season, don't really have a glaring weakness or a part of the roster that's not producing.

All nine lineup spots are contributing, with OFs Michael Harris II and Eddie Rosario having turned it on recently.

The bullpen has seen AJ Minter return to 2022 dominance and Joe Jiménez, who had offseason back surgery, finally get back to the performance level that prompted the Braves to trade for him from Detroit. Both the guys were used in high-leverage roles in yesterday's win.

Even while missing Max Fried and Kyle Wright, the rotation has been bolstered by the revelation that is Bryce Elder and the recent emergence of Jared Shuster and promotion of #1 prospect AJ Smith-Shawver.

“It takes about 40 games to let things settle in,” manager Brian Snitker told the media on Saturday. “This time of year, you should have a pretty good idea of who you are.”

"Who the Braves are" is not only the best team in the National League East, but one of the best in all of baseball.

We wrote it

Atlanta keeps winning in the NL East. Braves Today publisher Zac Blackerby wrote the following note in yesterday's takeaways from the Nationals win.

After clinching a series win against Washington before going for the sweep tomorrow, it's been impressive what all they've been able to do against their division this season.
In fact, they haven't lost a series against an NL East team this season. (They did tie a four-game series against the Phillies.)
3/30-4/2: 2-1 @Washington
4/24-4/27: 3-1 vs Miami
4/28-4/30: 2-1 @ New York
5/2-5/4: 3-0 @ Miami
5/25-5/28: 2-2 vs Philadelphia
6/6-6/8: 3-0 vs New York
6/9-6/10: 2-0 vs Washington
