Lineup, how to watch Atlanta's series opener with the Seattle Mariners

Tonight's matchup is another Apple TV+ exclusive, but at least you'll be able to listen to Ben Ingram

The Atlanta Braves celebrated a much needed day off by flying beloved utility man Charlie Culberson back from Memphis, where AAA Gwinnett is playing this week, back to Atlanta to rejoin the major league roster

Culberson joins the Braves as they sit atop the NL East and start a ten game homestand, one of the more challenging ones of the year. They've got the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies coming to town, but before that they have to deal with a 2022 Wild Card team in the Seattle Mariners.

Atlanta Braves Lineup for Friday, May 19th

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Atlanta's going with the new-look top four, with Sean Murphy at catcher and in the three hole and Austin Riley batting cleanup. Eddie Rosario and Marcell Ozuna are in left field and designated hitter, respectively, sandwiching Ozzie Albies at the six spot. Orlando Arcia and Michael Harris are in the eighth and nine spots, although flipped from usual, with Arcia ahead of Harris.

Atlanta Braves vs Seattle Mariners Pitching Matchup

Tonight's the "Battle of the Bryces", as Atlanta's Bryce Elder takes on Seattle's Bryce Miller.

Elder is 3-0 on the 2023 season, with a 1.94 ERA in his eight starts. He's struck out 39 batters in his 46.1 innings pitched, and has never faced the Seattle Mariners

Not to be outdone, Bryce Miller is 2-0 on the season with a 0.47 ERA in his three starts. The prospect arm has been sensational, with only one run allowed in his three outings to start his MLB career. He throws an above-average fastball, sitting 96, with a slider, curveball, and occasional changeup. The arsenal is effective, with Miller striking out 18 in his 19 innings of work with only one walk.

How to Watch the Atlanta Braves Tonight

First pitch is scheduled for 7:20 ET, and the game broadcast is another Apple TV+ exclusive. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com, as well as within Apple TV+.

Our own Dan Strickland discovered the alternate audio feed option in Apple TV+, and it's an absolute gamechanger for those of us accustomed to trying to sync the video and audio feeds manually.
