Braves rally in the bottom of the eighth inning to take a 5-4 lead

The Braves entered the eighth inning down 4-3.

With one out, Kevin Pillar blasted a pinch-hit home run to give the Braves a 5-4 lead.

The inning began with a double by Austin Riley, followed by a fly-out by Sean Murphy. With Rosario due up, the O’s changed pitchers and brought in Danny Coulombe. Brian Snitker made a great decision to pinch-hit Pillar in place of Rosario.

The Braves have had some clutch performances by the newcomers in the outfield. Pillar and Hilliard have both contributed at the plate and with their defense.

The Braves head to the top of the ninth inning with the lead and Raisel Iglesias in for his first time this season looking to save the game.
