WATCH: Sean Murphy blasts a solo home run in the fourth inning
Sean Murphy put the first run on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning. He blasted a line drive into the left-field seats. Murphy has continued to hit well for the Braves over the past two weeks. This was his fourth home run of the season.
Following Murphy’s home run, Ozzie Albies and Vaughn Grissom both singled. Pillar followed with a hard-hit ball up the middle, but the Astros were well-positioned and retired the side to end the potential rally.
The Braves take a 1-0 lead into the top of the fifth inning. Kyle Wright looks good so far this evening and has thrown around 70 pitches through the first four innings. He has had some traffic on the bases but has managed to get out of trouble and maintain the shutout.
Tomorrow's series finale is scheduled for 1:35 ET and is being broadcast by Bally Sports South. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
