The Chicago Cubs are going for the series win against their divisional rivals the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. A victory on Wednesday gets the Cubs back to .500 before they host the Texas Rangers for an Easter weekend series that begins on Friday at Wrigley Field.

Chicago had an offensive outburst on Tuesday in which the club scored 12 runs, not a single one came via the home run ball. It was just small ball with timely hitting and a lot of doubles thrown in.

Hayden Wesneski made his 2023 MLB season debut and pitched 4.2 innings while allowing three earned runs.

Wednesday's game is an early one as first pitch is scheduled for 11:35 a.m. CT and it's Marcus Stroman day! He will face Reds starter Hunter Greene.

The game will be televised in the local Chicago market on the Marquee Sports Network. It will be nationally televised on MLB Network. It will also be streamed live on MLB.tv for those who reside outside the market.
