Watch: Chicago Cubs Launch Back-to-Back Homers For Lead Over Dodgers
The Chicago Cubs jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the third inning of Friday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Wrigley Field.
The Cubs have taken full advantage of Dodgers ace Julio Urias after recording two runs in the first inning after Seiya Suzuki recorded an RBI-double to score Dansby Swanson and Ian Happ.
In the second inning Nico Hoerner notched an RBI-single to score Nick Madrigal.
But the real action came in the third inning when Cody Bellinger launched another home run, his second in as many days. Friday's was a solo shot to right field that travelled 376 feet. It was his fifth of the season and by all measures, it appears Bellinger is proving he is once again the player that made him one of the most recognizable faces in the sport.
First baseman Trey Mancini then came up to the plate and launched a solo homer of his own. It travelled 368 feet to left-center field and brought the lead to 5-0. It was his second of the season.
Take a look at the two home runs below.
