Watch: Cody Bellinger Hits Another Home Run, Ties Game With Marlins
Just how good has Cody Bellinger been this season? He is doing exactly what the Chicago Cubs were hoping he would do when they signed him to a one-year, $17.5 million contract this past winter.
He is rebounding after two down series and looking like the version of himself that won the 2019 National League MVP award.
Bellinger continued his torrid pace when he launched another home run on Sunday to tie the game with the Miami Marlins at 3-3.
The sixth inning, 392-foot shot was Bellinger's seventh of the season and it couldn't have come at a better time as the Cubs are trying to salvage something of this series.
The home run was a 102.4-mph rocket with a 32 degrees launch angle that was deposited into the right-center field stands.
If Chicago hopes to truly make a push for a postseason spot this year, Bellinger's continued success will be key.
