The farm system of the Chicago Cubs continues to get high praise by many different publications who analyze prospects in the pipelines of minor league baseball.

On Monday, ESPN Insider, Kiley McDaniel, released their rankings of the best in baseball, listing the Cubs second on the list. That comes on the heels of MLB.com's analysts ranking them in the top five.

After being sellers at the deadline for the past two seasons, it doesn't come as a surprise they would have gotten back talented prospects. The exciting thing for Chicago is that they have this strong of a pipeline while competing to make the playoffs this season.

Greg Zumach who covers the Cubs MiLB and MLB draft, posted on social media highlighting where the most respected publications have Chicago's  ranked on their list.

FanGraphs: 2nd

ESPN: 2nd

Pipeline: 4th

Baseball America: 6th

There are five players in the Top 100 of MLB.com's best prospects list.

OF Pete Crow-Armstrong (No. 12), RHP Cade Horton (No. 30), OF Owen Caissie (No. 68), OF Kevin Alcántara (No. 76) and RHP Ben Brown (No. 91) are the biggest names in the pipeline.

There's a chance pitchers Brown and Jordan Wicks get called up to the major league team this season when rosters expand.

The Cubs front office has a philosophy to get their minor league players experience before attempting to make the full time roster the following year.

Four of the five players on the Top 100 list are projected to make an MLB appearance in 2024. Not only is the pipeline one of the best in the league, their players are ready to contribute soon.

On paper, the future looks bright for Chicago.
