The Chicago Cubs are down in Houston to face the Houston Astros and while they're looking to right the ship after the series against the Minnesota Twins, they announced some roster moves:

-RHP Brad Boxberger was placed on 15-day IL (retro to 5/14) with a right forearm strain

-RHP Jeremiah Estrada recalled from Triple-A Iowa Cubs.

-RHP Nick Burdi selected from Iowa -RHP Hayden Wesneski optioned to Iowa.

-RHP Adrian Sampson transferred to 60-day IL.

The bullpen for the Cubs has been overworked and the moves are to bolster up ahead of Monday's game. Estrada made three appearances for the Cubs pitching over four innings.

He's allowed three walks, two hits, and no runs. He struck out six and has an ERA of 0.96 and a WHIP of 1.071 over 9 1/3 innings.

Chicago might be in a bit of a tricky spot with the righty as MLB has a limit of five options per season without exposing a player to waivers. Now granted, he's not QUITE there but at some point in the next 3/4 of the season, there might be a conversation to be had.
