Chicago Cubs Prospects Continue to Impress in Latest Top-100 List
The Chicago Cubs have a robust farm system and just about every single outlet that puts out a top-100 rankings list is taking notice.
The Athletic has released their rankings and the Cubs have placed three of their top prospects on it. Pete Crow-Armstrong, Brennen Davis, and Kevin Alcántara all made the list, unsurprisingly. They came in at 26, 50, and 29, respectively according to Keith Law.
The three are the consensus top prospects within the system.
Crow-Armstrong is likely to develop into an impact Major Leaguer. Davis has been dealing with injury which has hampered some of his develop and put evaluators on the defensive. However, he swings an excellent bat.
Alcántara is young and has showed out at every stop. Moving from Myrtle Beach to High-A South Bend this upcoming season will put him to the test.
Law didn't deviate much from other publications but he does put some more belief into Davis's health and Alcántara's ability to develop into an elite Big League than others.
