With just a few games left in the regular season, the Dodgers are once again one of the top teams in the league. Despite everything that the organization has been through this year, they haven’t let it get them down, and they have pushed through the adversity.

This could bode well for them come playoff time, as they’ve dealt with tough times unlike in previous seasons. But this team feels different because of the team-oriented approach that they have taken all year long.

They have continued to win games in different ways, and it has seen them rise in the standings. While they will likely be the number two seed in the National League, this year has been a massive success for the entire organization.

With success on the field, comes the high positioning within multiple MLB Power Rankings as well. After another solid week of play, LA rose again in both the MLB.com rankings and the ones on The Athletic.

In both, the Dodgers went from No. 4 overall to No. 2. These are the final rankings of the regular season, and they show just how dominant LA has been over the year.

“Despite all the adversity this club endured throughout the regular season, particularly with injuries to key pitchers, the Dodgers once again find themselves heading to the postseason with World Series championship aspirations. They clinched their 10th NL West title in the past 11 years last week, when they went 5-2 thanks to series wins over the Tigers and the archrival Giants. Taking three of four from the Giants and putting San Francisco's postseason hopes on life support had to be satisfying for Los Angeles.”

Per Manny Randhawa of MLB.com

The Dodgers will wait to see who emerges from the Wild Card round after they clinched another first-round bye. They will face either the Milwaukee Brewers or whomever the final NL Wild Card team will be.

LA can’t take them for granted, and they will need to continue having the chip on their shoulder throughout the postseason. There weren’t many that believed in this team early on in the season, except for the guys in the clubhouse, so they could rely on each other into the postseason.

The hope is that the Dodgers can claim another World Series title, and doing so with this bunch of guys would make it very special. It has been a great year for the team, and hopefully, they can finish it off on top.
