After another poor postseason showing for the Dodgers, they enter the offseason with more questions than answers. We could be in line for a very big offseason, and the team is expected to be aggressive this winter to make sure it doesn't happen again.

They have some clear needs, but all across the board the Dodgers need to make some changes. This should be the offseason that they go all-in, and this is what the team has been waiting for.

MLB insider Jim Bowden of The Athletic broke down what every team will be prioritizing this offseason with the GM meetings starting soon. He was short and to the point when it came to the Dodgers, which was nice to see.

“Dodgers: Starting pitching.”

Per Jim Bowden of The Athletic

Everyone knows that the Dodgers have a clear need for starting pitching this offseason after this past season that saw them falter completely in the playoffs. They had their rotation being held together by strings, but someone forgot to tighten them before the playoffs started, and it cost them.

They only have a few options on the roster for next season, and with Clayton Kershaw now expected to miss a good chunk of next season due to surgery, the need has increased. The team will look at both the free agent market and possibly via trades to improve the rotation.

Some names that the team could look at include San Diego Padres left-hander Blake Snell, Philadelphia Phillies righty Aaron Nola or Japanese star Yoshinobu Yamamoto. This would mean that the Dodgers were dipping their toes into the big kids' pool, something that they have been hesitant to do with long-time contracts for pitchers.

They also could look to trade for a front-line starter like Corbin Burnes from the Milwaukee Brewers or Dylan Cease from the Chicago White Sox. But they do have plenty of options here to choose from that could really help the team moving forward.
