Dodgers News: Andrew Friedman Believes Julio Urias Situation Will Not Cause a Distraction
Monday morning shocked the baseball world when it was announced that Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias was arrested for domestic violence in Los Angeles Sunday night .
The 27-year-old is now facing his second DV charge with the first coming back in 2019, where he was suspended for 20 games.
Urias was officially placed on administrative leave on Wednseday.
With all this news flying around the Dodgers clubhouse, Andrew Friedman talked to the media and assured them that he believes the players will not let this affect the team's goal of a World Series.
The Dodgers are focused on winning it all this year and they won't be distracted by off the field issues.
Professionalism and mental fortitude is what this Dodgers team has as they have created a strong bond with new faces like veterans Jason Heyward and J.D. Martinez while young faces like James Outman have been mentored by the veterans.
At 84-53, the Dodgers will look to replace Urias with a pitcher like Ryan Pepiot and Walker Buehler as both have returned from injury with Buehler in the middle of a rehab assignment with the Oklahoma City Dodgers in Triple-A.
The Dodgers are gearing up for a World Series push and they will go on that run with who they have all focused on the same goal: A World Series ring.
