Though Freddie Freeman might be having the most impressive individual campaign of his career, the Dodgers first baseman isn't concerned with building his own trophy case anymore.

Instead, Freeman's main goal this season is to win another championship for the City of Angels no matter what it takes from his own efforts game in and game out.

“For me, if I need to go 0 for 4 and move the guy to third base four times, I’m going to do that. That might hurt my stats but I want to win a World Series. I want to win a World Series here. If everything works out and individual awards happen, great. But I want another ring.”

Such an unselfish approach from Freeman has certainly rubbed off on his teammates with the argument made stronger by Miguel Rojas' recent comments about his performance in Sunday's win against the Rockies.

Even manager Dave Roberts has noticed this year's differences from last season's team where he declared the 2022 rendition of the team the preseason World Series champion.

Thought to be a rebuilding year for the franchise prepping for the impending free agency of Shohei Ohtani, the Dodgers are right where they've always been the past decade at the top of the NL West.

Only the Atlanta Braves have a better record in the National League this season with their own pair of MVP candidates in home run leader Matt Olson and prospective favorite Ronald Acuña Jr.

Freeman and teammate Mookie Betts will have something to say about that argument, but it looks as though Atlanta's own first baseman and superstar outfielder are headed toward a clash of titans for the NL crown come October.

No matter the outcome, Freeman and his teammates will do everything they can to be the last ones standing to end this year.
