Dodgers News: LA May Get Massive Bullpen Reinforcements From Injured List
Though not as much attention's been given to his progress back from injury compared to his Dodger teammates, one bullpen option for Dave Roberts might be on his way back to the major league roster.
Returning to pitching from a shoulder injury, Blake Treinen could see his own return to game action should his rehab continue going as well as it has according to GM Brandon Gomes.
“We’ll see how it keeps progressing. It sounds like he’s feeling pretty good. The shoulder stuff is tricky, right? You never want to get too far in front of it. He’s throwing bullpens. Now where do things tick up as he takes the next step in the rehab phase.”

Treinen first emerged on the national scene with the Oakland Athletics in 2018 after his previous stint in Washington D.C. for the Nationals.
During that season, Treinen was named to the AL All-Star team with a sparkling 0.78 ERA and 38 saves, eventually earning MVP votes for his efforts as Oakland's closer that season.
The hard throwing righty moved to LA in the 2020 season and contributed to a World Series championship with some key late-inning work in the postseason.
In 2021, Treinen was arguably the Dodgers' best reliever with a sub-2 ERA in many appearances.
Shoulder issues affected Treinen for an injury-plagued 2022 before addressing the issue with a surgical procedure this past winter.
But now, it sounds like the recovery is going smoothly up to this point and with fellow pitcher Walker Buehler on his way back from his own long-term injury, two arms from years past could be back in the fold soon enough.
Given the suddenly mortal bullpen for LA compared to years past, Treinen's addition would be a welcome sight for Dodger fans everywhere.
