In this story:

Dodgers rookie RHP Bobby Miller put on a show on Tuesday against a strong Atlanta Braves offense. Miller went five strong innings, allowing just four hits, one run and one walk while striking out five.

Miller looked every bit the part of an MLB starting pitcher, and is going to be around for at least one more start, but potentially more.

No matter how long he stays for now, though, he made it clear that he can pitch at the highest of levels, and potentially be an ace for the Dodgers down the road.

Ahead of his MLB debut, Harold Reynolds of MLB Network broke down his game, and made a comparison for him. Reynolds said that Miller reminds him of Josh Beckett, a former Dodger who made three All-Star appearances and even threw a no-hitter back in 2014. Here's what he had to say about the comparison.

"I love his stuff, it's electric," Reynolds said. "That fastball will eat you up, he reminded me a little bit of Walker Buehler with that delivery, but as I looked closer, it is all Josh Beckett for me. He's got the nasty breaking ball that Josh used to throw, and he's got that fastball that explodes on the hitters. I think this kid's got electric stuff."

You can watch the full video here, to see the side-by-side of Beckett and Miller's deliveries:

Dodgers RHP Walker Buehler is the obvious comparison for Miller because of his electric stuff, but the Beckett comparison is definitely an interesting one.

Beckett had a long career in the MLB, playing for three teams across 14 seasons. Beckett made three All-Star teams and finished as high as second in Cy Young voting in 2007.

The Dodgers would love to see Miller make a few All-Star teams, but I think they have higher expectations for him. The Dodgers want Bobby Miller to be the future ace of their staff, and on Tuesday, he showed that he has the stuff to get there.
