Dodgers News: Shohei Ohtani Posts Hilarious Picture After Accepting MVP Award
Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani was named the 2023 AL MVP as a member of the Angels. He earned it after another spectacular season and finally got the trophy to go with the title.
Ohtani and a special little friend revealed the trophy to us on his Instagram story on Saturday.
Ohtani's dog, Decoy, made a special appearance and didn't look happy to be a part of the photo. Ohtani captioned the photo, saying, "I don't know why he looks so sad."
Decoy was the talk of the baseball world a couple of months ago. Ohtani's dog was first introduced to us when Ohtani was named MVP in November. Decoy was by his side the entire time, and many wondered if his dog's name was connected to one of the clubs he was considering in free agency.
The day Ohtani was officially introduced as a Dodger, he revealed his dog's name. In Japanese, the dog's name is "Dekopin," which is a Japanese verb for flicking someone lightly on the forehead.
Decoy can't do anything wrong. We're big fans of his and his owner, of course.
