Will Smith got snubbed!

The MLB All-Star rosters have been released today, and it's sad to say that Dodgers catcher, Will Smith, is not in the starting lineup for the National League.

Smith was beat out by Atlanta Braves catcher, Sean Murphy, via fan voting. At 28 years old, "The Fresh Prince of LA" is yet to make an All-Star team, despite his offensive and defensive efforts behind the plate.

With a batting average of .283, 12 home runs, and 41 RBIs, Smith's season stats aren't comparable to the rest of the All-Starters, but Murphy's 13 homers, 44 RBIs, and BA of .289 aren't overwhelmingly better than Smith's.

There's no question that since making his MLB debut in 2019, Will Smith is one of the best catchers in the Majors, so for him to not have an All-Star selection in his career is absurd.

Smith was a very important piece in the Dodgers championship run in 2020, so seeing him snubbed from this team will most definitely be a source of fuel for the 28 year old.

He will most likely be selected as a reserve for the National League squad, so his participation is a no-brainer, but still very disappointing news for Smith.

Despite his snubbing, the Dodgers do have three players selected as dtarters for the NL team: Mookie Betts, J.D. Martinez, and Freddie Freeman.

An All-Star selection for Mookie Betts means that he will participate in this year's Home Run Derby in Seattle, which is another thing for Dodger fans to look forward to.

The Dodgers and the Braves have the most starters in the NL squad with three. If Smith was selected as the fourth Dodger, they would have had the most.

The All-Star reserves will be announced on Sunday, where Dodger fans can hope Smith hears his name called.
