Dodgers NLDS Opponent Diamondbacks Criticized for Planning to Cross Hotel Worker Picket Lines at LA Hotel

This is a weird situation here.
In this story:

In one of the more interesting parts of the upcoming postseason series for the Dodgers, it seems that their opponent, the Arizona Diamondbacks, is facing criticism for their choice of hotel stay while in Los Angeles.

The Diamondbacks are apparently staying at the JW Marriott LA Live, and the hotel is currently dealing with a boycott from employees until they receive a living wage to work. This issue was brought up by UNITE HERE Local 11, which is a union of more than 32,000 workers in Southern California and Arizona. The work spans across different industries such as sports arenas, convention centers, restaurants, hotels and more.

It also seems that this is the second time that Arizona has failed to disregard the boycott while the labor dispute has been going on. They likely stayed at this hotel back in August when they last played the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.

It has also been made aware that the Major League Baseball Players Association has asked the league to abide by the labor dispute and avoid using this hotel. But it seems that the Diamondbacks don’t care and will be staying where they choose.

While there is no official policy for this, it’s not a great look for the Diamondbacks to cross the picket line and stay at this hotel while an ongoing boycott is happening. UNITE HERE Local 11 has asked Arizona to reconsider its stance, but it seems that they won’t budge from their plans.

It remains to be seen what will happen with this issue, but the series gets started Saturday evening. Game one of this series is set to take place at 6:20 p.m. PT from Dodger Stadium, and then the teams get a day off before game two starts on Monday.

UPDATE

The Diamondbacks addressed the issue after facing pressure online. In short, they're changing nothing about their arrangements.
