Dodgers Notes: A Trade in the Cards, Phillips Faces Demons, and More
The Dodgers are back in the win column after a 6-4 come from behind win over the Orioles. Chris Taylor connected on a massive grand slam and made his presence felt coming off the IL.
Aside from the actual game, the trade deadline game is upon us and things are lining up for a wonderful Dodgers and Cardinals partnership. Jack Flaherty, Nolan Arenado, Jordan Hicks? They're all rumored to be available. Will the Dodgers strike? Noah Camras on DodgersNation.com did the leg work on some big name pieces to watch.
In other news, closer Evan Phillips spoke to reporters before Monday's game about his return to Baltimore where he made his MLB debut.
“It will always mean something to come play in this ballpark,” Phillips said. “I had the opportunity to live out the dream of playing in that uniform. Personally, I wish things had gone a little better in that uniform. But without what happened in that uniform, I wouldn’t have landed here. So I see that as a blessing in a lot of different ways.”
The Evan Phillips experience has been great for the Dodgers, so thankfully things didn't work out for him with the Orioles.
