Dodgers Notes: Cleveland Apologies, Rookie Rehab, Mookie Returns to Boston, Busch Gets the Ball
The Dodgers swept -- or survived -- Thursday's doubleheader against the Guardians in Cleveland, finishing up the final 7 innings of Tuesday's postponed game and completing game three of the rainy series. For all the issues with the rain and, really, way-too-early weather delays, the Guardians did end up apologizing to the Dodgers and manager Dave Roberts, as told by Doc after the game.
“Chris (Antonetti) came over and he … apologized for the way it was handled. No one wins in that situation. They lost a starter too (because of Wednesday’s suspension). You could see they were kind of hamstrung with their pitching today. … But I really appreciate Chris coming over and Tito (Guardians manager Terry Francona) reached out too.”

Still taking two of three games in the 'Land was most important to the Dodgers. Next the club heads to Boston where Mookie Betts has gone on record admitting that he has some nerves for his long awaited reunion with Red Sox Nation.
Also on Thursday, rookie infielder Michael Busch launched the first home run of his major league career and did end up with the baseball, thankfully. As he told SportsNet LA's Kirsten Watson, he has it in a bag and hopes to not have to fight with his dad over who gets to hold on to the keepsake going forward.
