If you're looking at a website that talks about the Los Angeles Dodgers, you probably know this already, but I'm going to tell you this anyway.

The Dodgers are on fire.

Los Angeles has seen their lead grow in the NL West to a commanding 12 games.

Remember when it was a three team race between the Dodgers, Giants, and Diamondbacks to see who would come away with the division crown? Although LA hasn't officially clinched the title yet, they for all intents and purposes won it a while ago and laid waste to their once formidable competition in the process.

Whether it'd be the MVP-level exploits of Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, or a pitching staff that has found its legs again behind new additions, everything is going right for a Dodgers team that now very much looks like they'll be World Series contenders in a little more than a month from now.

All of that has led to the Dodgers jumping to the top spot in Bleacher Report's MLB Power Rankings, overtaking an Atlanta Braves team who had been occupying the No. 1 position for most of this season.

Here's what Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter had to say about LA.

"With a 21-4 record in their last 25 games, the Dodgers are the hottest team in baseball, and their lead in the NL West standings has swelled from two games to 12 games during that span.

"The pitching staff leads the majors with a 3.00 ERA in August, and the bullpen has converted 12 of 14 save chances this month."

The Dodgers have found their excellent form that's been a constant for them through their decade of NL West dominance, and they're now a team that is built to be -- and should be -- the favorite in the entire National League.

And a World Series title?

There's still a good amount of time between now and then, but a championship is definitely within the Dodgers' sights.
